DeCypher® 8.0.2 Improves Flexibility of GeneDetective

GeneDetective Enhancements

  1. Added the [minimal exon length] keyword to provide more user control for reducing over-prediction of small exons. A new heuristic was also implemented to utilize this setting in conjunction with the existing [minimal intron length] keyword. The default setting for [minimal exon length] is 1 and for [minimal intron length] is 10.

  2. Corrected the generation of the predicted transcript sequence to accurately use the coordinates of the predicted exons. Previously, errors were sometimes caused by incorrectly interpreting alignment gaps as introns.

  3. Added an option to display the exon coordinates as a field in the tab or comma delimited output formats. To display this information, use [output format] with the value “tab” or “comma” as well as the [field] keyword with the value “exons”.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed bug that caused crashes or incorrect characters in results for searches with HMM queries with multi domain hits. (PRN1426)

  • Fixed a bug that caused the hardware to return a 2724 error during HMM database searches. (PRN1521)

  • Fixed a bug that caused Tera-BLAST scores to be lost rather than returning an error if there is a hardware problem. (PRN1535)
